Katarinahjemmet was founded in 1928 with the intention of creating a good and natural meeting place with the Catholic Church in Norway.
Rosahjemmet is painted Røros-red and ivy-green. It is centrally located yet set back from busy traffic, ideally situated near Majorstua tube station, within walking distance to the famous Frogner Park. Situated just in front of Katarinahjemmet, it was built around 1850, and is named in honour of St. Rose of Lima.
