Built to host sporting competitions during the 2007 Pan American Games, Jeunesse Arena has become a reference in well-managed legacies in Brazil. For ten years, it has been hosting sporting, cultural, corporate and religious events of various sizes and shapes, becoming an important tool of attraction of national and international events to Rio de Janeiro.
Located in the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca, the Jeunesse Arena is a world-class multipurpose venue. Its versatile arrangement with 360o retractable bleachers offers dozens of different layouts for events with audiences ranging from 300 to 18,000 people. Its facilities meet all technical parameters and specifications required by the International Federations of Basketball, Gymnastics, Volleyball and Indoors Soccer. The Jeunesse Arena passed NBA's most stringent tests and met all technical criteria to receive, for three consecutive years, the pre-season games of the American Basketball League in Brazil.
Designed just like the largest and most modern arenas in the world, the Jeunesse Arena is also a reference for major national and international concerts due to its sound quality, comfort for the audience, air conditioning, and the versatility it offers for different stage layouts and settings. Names like Paul McCartney, Roberto Carlos, Bob Dylan, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé, Eric Clapton, Sade, Maroon 5, Jennifer Lopez, Ivete Sangalo, Guns n' Roses and Iron Maiden have performed there.
